Sold- Hand Knit and Felted Beret – Dorset Wool- Turquoise

This is a beret for wool lovers. It is made from Dorset wool, ethically raised and milled in Canada.
I start by hand knitting an oversized beret and then I hand felt it. This process shrinks the fibres and creates a very thick, warm, wind and water resistant fabric.
I created the flowers by wet felting merino wool.

Dorset wool is a very hearty and strong fibre. I wouldn’t call it scratchy, but it’s also not super soft. Most of my customers who have tried this style of hat on have found it very comfortable, but if you are sensitive to wool then this hat is probably not the best choice.

The beret will fit a 22″-23″ head size. I am happy to knit one for you in another size if you have a small or large head.
