Hand Knit and Felted Beret- Naturally Dyed- size medium/large

Description

This beret was hand knit and then felted. It is made with Canadian Dorset wool, grown and milled in Alberta. I took a natural sheep shade of grey and over dyed it with Cochineal.
The felting process makes this hat very thick and warm. It can be worn in the rain and snow. The felted fabric gives the hat a bit of structure, but it is still crushable.

This beret will fit a medium to large head size. (22.25″-24″)

To measure your head, take a soft tape measure and measure just above the eyebrows, above the tips of the ears and around the largest part of the back of your head. Try to not let the tape measure swoop down towards your neck. If you don’t have a soft tape measure you can use a string and then carefully measure the string. Repeat this a few times to be sure that you keep getting the same number.
