Hand Knit and Felted Canadian Wool Cloche Hat- Claire

Description

Claire Cloche is a hand knit hat made from hand dyed Canadian Dorset wool. After the hat is knit it is felted by hand to shrink and stiffen the fabric. This gives the hat lots of structure, water and wind resistance and warmth, but the hat retains its flexible knit quality.
One side of the hat has a little pleat and the other side is offset by a pretty spray of felt flowers.

The hat does have stretch, but a head size will ensure a perfect fit.

To measure your head, take a soft tape measure and measure just above the eyebrows, above the tips of the ears and around the largest part of the back of your head. Try to not let the tape measure swoop down towards your neck. If you don’t have a soft tape measure you can use a string and then carefully measure the string. Repeat this a few times to be sure that you keep getting the same number.
