Indigo dyed hemp braid cloche hat

Description

This hat begins as a hank of undyed hemp braid. I shape it into a hat on my antique straw braid sewing machine. I then dip the hat into a natural Indigo dye vat. After the hat has been dyed I shape it on a hat block, sew in a soft linen headband and create the flowers and leaves from my organic cotton and hemp fabric scraps.

Each hat is made to order to your specific head size.

To measure your head, take a soft tape measure and measure just above the eyebrows, above the tips of the ears and around the largest part of the back of your head. Try to not let the tape measure swoop down towards your neck. If you don’t have a soft tape measure you can use a string and then carefully measure the string. Repeat this a few times to be sure that you keep getting the same number.

It’s important to me that you love your hat. Once you have received your hat you have 24 hours to let me know if it’s not what you dreamed of. I then need it shipped back to me within 2 days. Please contact me before returning the hat as I will try to print the shipping label from here. The cost of shipping the hat to you will not be refunded. If you have requested colour choices that are not colours I normally create then the hat is not returnable.
