Here it is, my very first handwoven cap. I wove the fabric from both wool and alpaca yarn, then cut it and sewed it into this sweet little cap. It is lined with a silk/cotton blend. This is my first, but definitely won’t be my last.

The hat will fit a medium to large head size, 22.5-23″ It is designed to sit quite low on the brow, so that it covers the tips of the ears Please measure your head before purchasing.

Wool caps are great for fall and winter days that are not too, too cold. The visor protects from glare and the fabric is very water repellent.

To measure your head, take a soft tape measure and measure just above the eyebrows, above the tips of the ears and around the largest part of the back of your head. Try to not let the tape measure swoop down towards your neck. If you don’t have a soft tape measure you can use a string and then carefully measure the string. Repeat this a few times to be sure that you keep getting the same number.
