Description

The Collette felted beret is first knitted, then felted and then adorned with flowers. It is very important to hand felt the beret. Putting the beret in the washing machine will over felt it.
The beret has two versions. The first is a solid colour with a seed stitch stripe texture and the second is a striped version. There are two separate pdf files included with your purchase. the videos are linked in version one.

The pattern takes you through all the knitting steps, felting steps and flower making steps with lots of photos to illustrate the techniques.

The hat is knit on 6mm needles (16″ circular and dpns for the crown decreases.) I am a fairly loose knitter, so if you are a tight knitter I would go up a size.
