Lupin Wheat Straw Braid Hat- Custom made to order

Description

This mad hatter style straw hat is sewn on my antique straw braid sewing machine and embroidered with a tiny field of lupins. Each hat is made slowly by hand and will be unique. The hat is made with finely braided wheat straw. Wheat straw is a very durable straw and with a little care this hat will last a life time. The back of the hat has a straw bow. The hat looks equally adorable with the bow worn in the front. The inside of the hat has a soft, gently elasticized linen band.

To measure your head, take a soft tape measure and measure just above the eyebrows, above the tips of the ears and around the largest part of the back of your head. Try to not let the tape measure swoop down towards your neck. If you don’t have a soft tape measure you can use a string and then carefully measure the string. Repeat this a few times to be sure that you keep getting the same number.
